Harrisonburg School Board BuildingWe're excited to be hosting our first ever conference in Harrisonburg, VA!   Join us for an exciting day of learning and networking at the Harrisonburg city school board building at at One Court Square downtown. Conference speakers will include:

8:30-9:30am - mingle, registration, networking and discussions

9:30-10:30am - welcome

Kai Degner, of Harrisonburg City Council
TOPIC:  Facilitating a productive community conversation.
Get tips on how to run a productive meeting, and get the best possible feedback from any group. Kai is a city council member, Realtor and professional mediator.

TOPIC: Making a Picture Worth A Thousand Words
Jeff is the director of photography at Rosetta Stone, the world's #1 language learning software. In this seminar you'll learn how to better communicate using images to get an extra bang out of your photos.

Alexis Thompson, from Town of Ashland
TOPIC: Bringing together multiple entities for marketing and communication.
Alexis currently serves as economic development coordinator for the Town of Ashland, and previously worked as promotions manager for Harrisonburg's Downtown Renaissance, which re-invigorated the heart of the city through a comprehensive branding and marketing campaign. Alexis will share tips about bringing a diverse set of groups to the table to achieve a common goal.
